I’m excited to present a 90-minute workshop titled “Ensuring Responsible AI: Embedding Safety by Design in Generative AI Systems” at Generative AI Week in Atlanta on October 7.

In the workshop, I will cover:

  • Safety by Design principles
  • Safety concerns in generative AI
  • Mitigation strategies

Having led machine learning projects at the World Bank and authored academic papers on machine learning, I was already familiar with AI. However, during my tenure as Director of Safety by Design at Match Group, I realized that my AI knowledge needed to be enhanced to effectively advise on cutting-edge generative AI projects. This realization led me to leave my dream job at Match Group to deepen my understanding of the technical aspects of generative AI.

For online safety experts, especially those focused on safety by design, technical knowledge of generative AI is becoming increasingly important. In my workshop, I will share my technical insights on generative AI safety in accessible, non-technical terms. Additionally, I plan to write blogs and papers before the event to further share my knowledge and insights.

This workshop is just the beginning. In the lead-up to the event, I’ll be sharing even more insights through blog posts and academic papers.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of generative AI safety and its implications for online safety professionals.
